London - Parliament and all of London from atop the London Eye

London - Parliament from east side of Thames. At dusk, long exposures make for stunning pictures. This is my effort at an artistic shot of Big Ben, The Thames, and Parliament.

At night, Rome is perhaps more beautiful than during the day with fewer crowds and beautiful artificial light.

As dawn breaks in Old Town Square, the cloudy sky aptly casts an eerie mood on this gothic city. This is actually 32 images stitched into a gigapixel photo that can be printed 10-12 feet wide.

The Pantheon is lit at night so tourists can enjoy.

Right off the bus, looking up the Tiber river, you see the majestic Vatican city on the hill looking over it's subjects.

Arriving in San Gimignano, I spy this lady laboring up the street.

Early Thursday morning, after a long trek across the ocean, you can see the iconic Sydney Opera House and bridge

The iconic Opera House is a huge attraction. People were everywhere even on Good Friday.

Almost as iconic as the Opera House, the Harbor Bridge is quite a site to see even at night.

Whenever I find interesting architecture, I feel the need to photograph it.

We stumbled into one of the biggest street parties on earth. This guy was there to greet us.

This is a famous statue in Wellington harbor. Of course I had to get a selfie with him.

In Auckland, we stayed on the wharf. The first morning was a stunning run rise.

After work, we took a ferry to Waiheke island. This was the view from our ferry back to Princes Wharf where we were staying.

Approaching our return harbor, we saw a pod of killer wales. Too bad I didn't have my long-lens.

So long "down-under". This was actually my return view to Sydney Friday evening.

Nicolaus Copernicus was a polymath (scientist) born in Prussia (now Poland) who placed the earth at the center of the universe. YES. It's his name we should recognize when we become self-centered.

Old Warsaw - It was a cold winter weekend in Warsaw - just like home.

One of the few buildings that withstood the German destruction was at the divide between the Russians and Germans.

Center square of Old Warsaw downtown. All of this was rebuilt since WWII. The Royal Castle of Warsaw was rebuilt entirely by the citizens and tourists of Warsaw and was not completed until 1984. Think about that for a while.

Warsaw fought the Nazis with everything they had, something the Russians found controversial and downplayed. It was due to this resistance that Germany destroyed 90% of Warsaw. Visiting this monument and Old Warsaw is truly moving.

It's common in this part of Europe to keep Christmas decorations out until February.

My goal is to take selfies at every IBM location I visit. Not sure the count so far but is high double-digits.

This is one of the most unique Hilton locations I've visited - sitting over the highway overlooking Stockholm's frozen harbor.

We took a ferry to the museum.

Stockholm is loaded with museums. Their cultural museum is beautiful from outside on this frigid day. Yes, it was about 10° in Stockholm.

This is me in front of the Vasa. You can't imagine how big this ship is. Sunk on its maiden voyage 500 yards from where it sits, it was restored in 1983. Quite a fascinating thing to witness.

Intricate details on its tail gives you an idea how much effort went into this massive ship. Just one problem. It toppled and sank in light winds on its maiden voyage.

High atop the tallest building in Stockholm, you get an idea how pretty the city is in the winter night light.

Of course I had meatballs in Sweden!
