There was a 13 year legal battle with the other Stags Leap that ended in a draw. You would think that Stags’ Leap Winery would have won the battle given their long history. The judge ruled there was already a brand difference – the apostrophe. Stags’ Leap Winery and Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars remain two separate wineries today.
